About The Conference

In the wake of Climate Change scenario going green has become the necessity for the sustainable existence. Going forward to our survival in this century depends on the resilience and capacity to mitigate
Climate Change. Given that the global climate crisis poses a difficult challenge, Green Technology is unfalteringly being recognised as a solution to the crisis. The term ‘Green Technology’ signifies any kind of environment friendly or clean technology. It further relates to the products and innovations of devices used in environmental science, green chemistry, environmental monitoring, promote sustainability and conserve the natural environment. Green technology includes varied nature of products and systems.
Green technology is way forward to reduce emission and help mitigate Climate Change. It covers technologies that help to both adapt to and mitigate the impacts of climate change. There is necessity to
embolden green technology to meet the commitment of Paris declaration by keeping the global warming rise in control.
Intellectual property rights are fundamental to technological innovation and development as they are conceptualised in the form of proprietary rights that can be further transferred, registered, granted and
secured from infringement. The term ‘Green Intellectual Property’ refers to the protection of innovations in the field of green technology. It is a concept where innovations which are helpful to environment in one or the other way are legally protected.
It is crystal clear by now that the pro-active policy and programmes of governments in partnership with the private sector are sine qua-non to protect the depleting natural resources. India has already taken steps in this direction by proactively working towards more sustainable future with the help of renewable energy sources i.e. solar, hydro and wind energy. Recently, India achieved 5th global position in solar power deployment. Solar power capacity has increased by more than 11 times in the last few years.
Further India has taken long strides towards being a first country which will be 100% using the LED for its lighting needs as this technology is green technology hence environment friendly. India is focusing on the renewable energy sector in a big way.
Mr. Suresh Prabhu former Indian union minister stated “The energy and environment are the two sides of the same coin. So how do you generate energy is going to be determining to what extent you are compromising, whether or not, with climate security, environmental concerns. Therefore, let everybody together ensure that the greenhouse gases (emissions) are limited”.
