17th Nani Palkhivala Memorial National Tax Virtual Moot Court Competition by SASTRA University [May 20-22]: Register by April; 28

Eligibility

  • Each institution offering an undergraduate LL.B. Degree Course is eligible to participate in the competition.
  • Only one team can register from a particular College or Law School for participation in the competition. In the event, two registrations are received from the same College or Law School, the Team which submits a letter first by the Head/Dean of the Institution/Moot Court Committee, authorizing them to participate on behalf of the College or Law School shall be entitled to participate and will be registered.

Team Composition

  • A team shall consist of a maximum of three members that must include two Speakers and one researcher.
  • Any team, intending to change the team composition shall intimate the organisers by sending an e-mail at [email protected], the change will be allowed at the discretion of the organisers.
  • The Researcher may be permitted to argue as a Speaker in case of any unforeseen event. Prior permission of the organizers of the competition in such a case shall be mandatory.
  • In case the team fails to inform the university, the decision of the organisers will be final.

Note: A total of 24 teams on a first-come-first-serve basis shall be entitled to participate in the competition (subject to the confirmation email from the organisers). However, the organisers reserve the right to modify this Team Cap in future.

Provisional Registration

Teams must provisionally register by 28th April 2021, by sending an email to [email protected] with the subject “Registration for 17th Nani Palkhivala Memorial Tax Virtual Moot Court Competition, 2021”.

The first 24 teams to provisionally register will be allotted a Team Code. On receipt of confirmation of Provisional Registration and the Team Code, teams are required to fill out the registration form along with the Authorization Letter that is attached in the confirmation mail by 4th May 2021.

Registration Fee (After Memorial Elimination Round)

Teams that clear the Memorial Elimination Round and are invited to participate in the Moot Court Competition must send a registration fee of Rs. 3,000/- via Online Transfer (NEFT) latest by 18th May 2021.

No other payment method shall be accepted.

  1. Any additional charges incurred by the team while making the wire transfer are to be borne by the team.
  2. All teams must upload a scanned copy of the receipt generated on completion of the NEFT transfer in the confirmation mail by 23:59 hours on 18th May 2021.
  3. Registration shall be deemed to be confirmed only on completion of all the formalities as specified above, any failure, may be treated as a withdrawal from the competition and no claim of what so ever nature shall be entertained thereafter.
  4. Once the payment is made, no request for a refund will be entertained.
