Volunteering Program at CRY(Child Rights and You)

Established in 1979 as Child Relief and You, CRY was started by Rippan Kapur who dreamt of ensuring happier childhoods. Over the last 41 years, CRY has impacted the lives of over 3 million children.

COVID-19 pandemic has been a humanitarian disaster of an unprecedented magnitude, but it sparked a huge surge in volunteering at the local level. Millions of people across the world stepped forward sharing their time, skills, and knowledge to support those who are vulnerable

While under lockdown, CRY launched a short-term volunteering program last year in October 2020, which was a huge success as over 1400 volunteers joined us virtually and got certified for their volunteering efforts. We received applications not only from India but also from abroad, from young and from old, from students, homemakers, and working professionals.

This year we are coming back with SPRINT– a 6-week short-term volunteering program in the 3rd week of August 2021 and in the last 24 hours of its announcements we have received around 600 applications.

We are looking for socially inclined platforms and individuals to help spread the word in a pro-bono capacity. Please let us know if this seems like a good fit for you.
