TWO-DAY VIRTUAL WORKSHOP ON ‘FORENSIC SCIENCE IN CRIME INVESTIGATION

The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) with the status of an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India is the World’s First and Only University dedicated to forensic and investigative sciences.
It was established by the Government of India through Act, 2020 (32 of 2020) with the objective of fulfilling the acute shortage against the increasing demand for forensic experts in the country and around the world.
Objectives of the Workshop:
• To equip the participants about basic concepts and recent trends in forensic science.
• To familiarize the participants about various tools and techniques used by forensic labs for detection of crimes.
• To explore challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in preservation and production of evidence before the court of law.
• To come up with suggestions and solutions for tackling the challenge of miscarriage of justice due to improper collection of evidence.
