The Indian Journal of Arbitration Law (IJAL) and the Centre for Advanced Research and Training in Arbitration Law (CARTAL) are organising a Certificate Course on International Investment Arbitration.
The Course will be held between September 28 and October 2, 2021; and will comprise a total of 3 lectures. Each lecture will take place between 4:30PM to 6:00 PM IST respectively.
Please find hereunder the details for the lectures: –
Topic 1: Introduction to Investment Treaty Protection and Arbitration (Sept. 28, 2021). This lecture will be delivered by Mr. Rishab Gupta (Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., Mumbai), Mr. Wesley Pang (Partner, Eversheds Sutherland, Hong Kong).
Topic 2: Substantive Protection – Fair and Equitable Treatment and Protection Against Expropriation (Sept. 30, 2021). This lecture will be delivered by Ms. Dilber Devitre (Associate, Homburger AG, Switzerland) and Dr. Nicole Cleis (Senior Associate, Walder Wyss, Switzerland).
Topic 3: Damages in Investment Treaty Arbitration (Oct. 02, 2021). This lecture will be delivered by Mr. Montek Mayal (Senior Managing Director, FTI Consulting, New Delhi).
