CFP: Works in Progress for Intellectual Property Scholars Colloquium

The IP Faculty at Mizzou Law and Saint Louis University School of Law are inviting submissions for their 19th annual Works-in-Progress Intellectual Property Colloquium. The Colloquium will be held February 18-19, 2022 at Saint Louis University School of Law in Saint Louis, MO. The deadline for submissions is December 8, 2021.

The colloquium provides intellectual property scholars with a forum to present academic works-in-progress and receive early feedback from peers.

Participation & Presenter RequestsYou can request to participate or present your work by completing this Google Form.

The priority deadline for presentation requests is December 8, 2021 at 5pm Central Time. Late speaking requests will be honored on a space-available basis. For submissions/requests made by the priority deadline, we will send notifications of acceptance by December 31. There is no paper publication requirement, but we will post the abstracts publicly via the WIPIP 2022 website.

We also welcome participant-discussants who aren’t presenting.  Please RSVP via the Google Form link above.

There are no costs to attend WIPIP, but conference attendees are responsible for their travel costs. There will be blocks of discounted hotel rooms within walking distance of SLU Law, and several transportation options between the airport and downtown Saint Louis.  Travel details will be available in the coming weeks at https://www.slu.edu/law/academics/ip-concentration/wipip-2022.php

Lunchtime panel discussions— during our lunchtime breaks on Friday and Saturday, we will be hosting panel discussions on Serving underserved communities via IP Clinics and The Impact of Intellectual Property Regimes on Marginalized Populations.  Requests to be a panelist are included in the registration Google Form link above.  Participating in a lunch panel does NOT preclude you from also presenting a Work In Progress.

We hope you can join us in Saint Louis. If you have any questions, please email Yvette Liebesman at [email protected].
