About Galgotias University

The Galgotias University, Uttar Pradesh, sponsored by Smt. Shakuntala Educational and Welfare Society, has been established by state of Uttar Pradesh under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 vide The Galgotias University Uttar Pradesh Act, 2019. The University commenced its operation from the academic session 2011-12. The ‘students-first philosophy is a big reason why Galgotias University is consistently ranked among India’s top universities. The focus of Galgotias University is on low student-to-faculty ratio that promotes plenty of personal attention and mentoring
opportunities. We have 13 schools with 49 UG programs 40 PG programs and 21 PhD programs. We have approvals
from various Councils [Pharmacy: Pharmacy Council of India (PCI); Law: Bar Council of India (BCI); Nursing: Indian
Nursing Council (INC); Architecture: Council of Architecture (COA); Education: National Council for Teacher
Education (NCTE); Hotel Management: Norms of National Council for Hotel Management (NCHM). This year,
Galgotias University by virtue of its meticulous planning and through religious and relentless efforts have been listed
in 151-200 top universities of India, 177th in Engineering Category, in the band of 76-100 for Pharmacy and
Management in NIRF India Rankings 2021 as declared by MHRD. The accreditation of three undergraduate programs
has been granted by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) under Tier (I). Galgotias University is the youngest in the
country to get such accreditations by NBA More than 7000 Publications, 200+ Patents Published, and many in the pipeline.
Galgotias University has also been granted UGC 12B status. We have around 800 plus very dedicated and forward-looking faculty members, 3 Academic Blocks having Construction Area of 64,879 sq. mt, the university also have in
campus five-star Boys Hostel accommodating around 1400 students and offcampus girls’ hostel to accommodate 200
plus girls.

About the School of Law

Legal education plays a vital role in nation-building. as it facilitates the settlement of disputes by the procedure
established by law in a peaceful manner. Rule of Law is the basic feature of the Constitution of India, and quality legal
education is the sine qua non to facilitate it. Therefore, the youth need to receive legal education to make them
understand the relevance and significance of democratic values. Galgotias University initiated the School of Law
(recognized by the Bar Council of India) as a part of this mission of providing quality legal education. The School
offers 5 years integrated B.A.LL.B and B.B.A.LL.B. and a three-year LL.B. program along with LL.M. in Criminal Law,
Corporate Law and International Law to more than 1000 students. The school has 60 plus research scholars pursuing
their doctorate degrees. The School is focused on producing socially conscious lawyers, litigation specialists, corporate
lawyers, mediation & arbitration experts, professionals to draft legal instruments, policymakers, researchers,
academicians, diplomats, judicial officers, civil servants, to meet the diverse requirements of legal human resource.
Galgotias School of Law offers world-class infrastructure, including a Library that’s well-stocked with thousands of
Books, Academic and Reporting Journals, and other reference materials. It also has access to numerous online Legal
databases. The wi-Fi-enabled campus allows the students to access the online legal database and stay updated. Classrooms
are well equipped with LCD projectors and other IT tools for education. A spacious auditorium serves the need for
various seminars, conferences, and other events. The School also has a Moot Court Hall to help students get practical
courtroom lessons.

About the Conference

Legal professionals play a pivotal role in society and justice administration system. The skillset required to become a
legal professional can not be solely developed by classroom learning. Learning by doing is a great way to develop the
required skill set. It develops the perception, attitude, skills, logic, responsibility and aptitude required by a budding
lawyer. There are many types of experiential education and different type suits different legal education system. It is
imperative that the correct type is explored and implemented in a particular system. Presently, clinical legal
education in India is much talked about and law schools are taking more and more steps to impart knowledge by way
of clinical legal education. But still there is huge gap between what is being taught and what is actually required to be
profession-ready. In order to explore where the legal education system is lacking, School of Law, Galgotias University
has come up with the idea of discussing goods and gaps of clinical legal education so that goods can be promoted and
implemented well and gaps are filled. This conference aims to get best international experience into our system of
imparting legal education and what can be a better way to learn is from best of experts and people from academia
from all over the world meet at a common platform and share their experiences and expertise in field of clinical legal
education. The overall goal of the conference is to enhance professional capacity of each attendee and contribute
positively in the field of clinical legal education. The conference endeavors to connect clinicians from all over the
world so that each can teach and learn at the same time.

  • Abstract word limit-300-500 words
  • Full Paper word limit-2500-5000 Words
  • The work must be original and author must send a certificate stating the same with submission of full paper.
  • Maximum number of authors allowed- 3
  • Font: Times New Roman. Font size-12 (form main text) 10 (footnoting). Spacing- 1.5
  • Citation-Blue Book 21st edition shall be strictly followed for Footnoting and referencing.
  • Similarity index should not be more than 10 per cent.
  • The Abstract and full paper has to be submitted in soft copy only and shall be sent to [email protected] with the subject line “Abstract/ Full paper– Conference on Clinical Legal Education” on or before the respective last date of submission.
  • All submissions are to be made in .doc/.docx format only. The sub themes mentioned is not exhaustive and author may send paper on any theme related to the Conference.

Publications:

Selected papers shall be considered for publication. Prior intimation will be given to the author for the same. Selected papers shall be published in 2022 Galgotias Journal of Legal Studies, ISSN. 2321-1997
