About the Basavanagudi Arbitration Centre

The Basavanagudi Arbitration and Mediation Centre (BAC) is a first-of-its-kind facility designed for conducting domestic and international ad-hoc arbitrations, mediations and contract negotiations. Over the last 5 years it has conducted large commercial arbitrations presided over by retired Supreme Court and High Court judges.

About the Internship

Basavanagudi Arbitration and Mediation Centre (BAC) is inviting applications for legal Intern.

Eligibility and Experience

The students applying for this position should at least be in their 3rd year of the integrated 5 years law degree. They should have an excellent hold on English and be able to write and communicate freely in this language. They should have legal and analytical skills to understand legal issues. Students should have a good understanding of subjects studied in law school. The opportunity would ensure students to get a hands-on experience of alternate dispute mechanisms.

Students in the 3rd, 4th and 5th year of the integrated 5 year law degree can apply; Final year students pursuing 3 years law degree can apply.

Roles and Responsibilities

The intern would be required to attend the arbitrations that have been held at the arbitration centre. The interns will be asked to conduct research on legal topics as required by the arbitrators, write notes, essays, write up on relevant topics as and when required.
