The Central Law College, Salem is a private law college in Tamil Nadu, India. The Salem college was opened in 1984. It is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. The Central Law College was founded by Prof. R.V. Dhanapalan in the year 1984.

About the Competition

The Central Law College, Salem is going to organizing the II National Moot Court Competition from November 19-21, 2021 namely Prof. RV Dhanapalan National Moot Court Competition.

Aim and Purpose

The Central Law College National Law Moot has been conceived with the aim of creating opportunities for learning and developing jurisprudence on emerging trends and to develop cutting edge skills in research, writing and, advocacy. Further, it is aimed to facilitate the evolution of the jurisprudential analysis of the laws and consequential emergence of new laws

  • Date: November 19 – 21, 2021
  • Venue: The Central Law College Yercaud Main Road, Kannankurichi Salem Tamil Nadu- 636008

Language

The competition shall be in English language only. 

Eligibility

Participation is restricted to bonafide undergraduate students of 5-year/3-year LL.B programme of any University/College/Institution (recognised by the Bar Council of India).

Registration

  • The Registration shall be restricted to 20 teams on first come first serve basis.
  • Only one team is allowed from each participating institution.
  • Filled in scanned copy of Registration form and the scanned copy of DD should be emailed to [email protected] on or before October 20, 2021.  
  • A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the colleges who send in the provisional registration mails.
  • Payment Details:
    • Registration fee is Rs. 2500/- for each participating team
    • Payable by way of DD
    • The DD must be drawn in favour of The Principal, The Central Law College Salem, Tamil Nadu
    • Payable at Salem

Registration without the copy of the approval letter from the college/institution/university or duly attested registration form will not be entertained.

Important Note:

  • All the Participants must be vaccinated. (The proof must be mailed along with the registration form)
  • The Participants must provide the written consent of the parents to participate as provided in the Registration form.

Awards and Prizes

  • Winners of the Moot Court Competition: Winner’s Trophy, mementos for team members and a Certificate of Merit
  • The Runners-up team: Trophy, mementos for team members and a Certificate of Merit
  • Best Student Advocate (Male): Trophy and a Certificate of Merit
  • Best Student Advocate (Female): Trophy and a Certificate of Merit
  • The Best Memorial Award (highest aggregate marks of both memorial), the Researcher: Trophy and a Certificate of Merit
  • Each participant: A Certificate of Participation

Important Note:

  • Participants shall attend on all days mandatorily from registration to valedictory in formals.
  • Prizes and Certificates shall be issued only in Valedictory to the concerned participant, so attendance is mandatory.
  • Host institution shall not be responsible for their Certificates in case of absence.

Important Dates

  • Last date for Provisional Registration with Scanned D.D. via e-mail: October 20, 2021
  • Last date for sending the Hard Copy of Registration Form along with D.D. (Registration Fee): 25th October 2021.
  • Submission of 1 copy of both side Memorials (Hard Copy) along with soft copy in a CD: November 5, 2021
  • Desk Registration and (copies 5 each side) memorial submission: November 19, 2021 at 3-3.30 PM.
  • Preliminary Rounds: November 20, 2021
  • Quarter- Final Round: November 20, 2021
  • Semi-Final Round: November 21, 2021
  • Final Round: November 21, 2021
