The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) is an Indian National Law University in Shamirpet, Telangana. It’s a public law school that was one of the first in the country to provide a five-year BA LLB (Hons.) programme. It was founded in 1998. The university offers legal undergraduate and postgraduate studies, as well as business administration postgraduate programmes. It is one of India’s autonomous law schools.

About the Speaker

Dr. Raghuram Govinda Rajan is an Indian economist and the Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He was born on February 4, 1963. He was Chief Economist and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund from 2003 to 2006. He served as the Reserve Bank of India’s 23rd Governor from September 2013 to September 2016, and he also served as Vice-Chairman of the Bank for International Settlements in 2015.
