About MAIMS:

Established in 2003 by Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society, Institute offers undergraduate programs in the field of Law, Commerce, economics, business administration and journalism as part of its noble endeavor of contributing significantly to positive change in society. MATES, comprising a cohort of diverse educationists, industrialists, and eminent personalities, has achieved the distinction of establishing reputed institutions in the areas Management, Law, Engineering, Journalism, etc.
Carrying forward its legacy of glory and progress, MATES laid the foundation of the Department of Law in 2017 which offers 5 year Integrated BALLB(Hons.) and BBALLB (Hons.), LLM in IPR. Department is vehemently striving to deliver quality legal education and training since its inception and within a span of a short time, it has made remarkable success in terms of academic as well as professional training. The presence of experienced faculty memebrs, experts and professionals from legal industry at the campus creates an exceptional conducive environment for students to learn and develop holistically along the moral and ethical lines.

About the Competition:

The competition is a flagship 5-day ADRCC and law fest of the Department of Law which is organized annualy. The 3rd edition is scheduled to be held from 22 March – 1 April 2023. The fest will host various academic, literary & cultural competitions that will witness the participation of students from law schools and universities across the nation. Justice J.S Verma Memorial ADR & Client Counselling Competition seeks to encourage the effective use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and to promote an open exchange of ideas, experience & technical know-how between students and legal professionals. The competition aims to combine the use of ADR and collaborative problem-solving skills of law students so as to successfully represent the litigating interests of parties and thus, proceed toward conflict resolution. We believe that this competition will encourage students and legal practitioners to adopt better and faster means of dispute resolution. Alongside, the Department also presents National Law Fest- NAVITAS which involves various literary and cultural competitions namely – Judgement Writing Competition, Legal and Constitutional quiz, Extempore Moot Court Competition, Creative Writing Competition, Article Writing Competition, Harmony- Solo Singing Competition, Folklore- Traditional Dance Competition, Am I Picasso?? Poster Making Competition, and JAM- Just a Minute.
