The Parent Institution of PRIST namely Ponnaiyah Ramajayam College (PRC) was established in 1994,by the eminent Founder chairman Prof. Dr.P.Murugesan with the aim to promote the standard of education in the state of Tamilnadu. Vision of this University is to give high quality teaching in education not only to urban but also to rural. Thereafter it
expanded to establish exclusive College Of Engineering and Technology, College Of Education, Research Center polytechnic College, State board & CBSE Schools.

ABOUT SCHOOL OF LAW
The school of law has been established in 2015 at Madurai Campus as a constituent of PRIST Deemed to be University and approved by the UGC and Bar council of India. School of law offers 5 years integrated undergraduate Program (B.Com., LL.B, BBA., LL.B and B.Sc., LL.B) ,3 years LL.B Program and 2 years Post graduate LL.M Program in various Specializations viz Constitutional law and Human Rights & Labour and Administration law.
