CALL FOR PAPERS: Dhaka University Law Journal Faculty of Law, University of Dhaka

The Faculty of Law, University of Dhaka, is seeking submissions for its upcoming volume of the Dhaka University Law Journal. This is a peer reviewed biannual law journal indexed with , and Bangladesh Journals Online. One of the key objectives of the journal is to generate a healthy discourse on law and jurisprudence, thereby enriching the academic environment. The journal is available in both print and online version. Each article published in the journal has a unique Digital Object
Identifier (DOI) number.


The journal features articles, notes, and case review/comments on contemporary legal issues. Contributors are free to write on any area of law. The journal aims to foster legal studies through original contributions from scholars and practitioners with particular emphasis, where appropriate, on the relationship of law with other disciplines. The chosen topic should have relevance and appeal for academics, researchers and practitioners.


Submission rules
Originality and exclusive submission: Dhaka University Law Journal solicits unpublished original contributions. Authors are requested to provide a statement along with a declaration as to the originality of the work that the submission is not under consideration anywhere else or that it has not been published or is not pending publication elsewhere.
Submission through email: Authors are requested to submit their manuscripts in electronic form (in word format) as an email attachment to [email protected]. The subject line of the email should read Dhaka University Law Journal.
Brief Bio: A covering letter giving a short biographical note on the author(s) in 100 words.


Presentation and style
In the interest of maintaining uniformity, contributors are requested to conform to the following guidelines when writing their papers:
• Abstract: The manuscript should contain an abstract of not more than 150 words long and contain no
references.
• Word limit: For articles, manuscripts should preferably be in between 5,000 and 8,000 words (including
abstract, footnotes, figures and tables) and for case comments and book reviews, not more than 2500
words.
• Language: English. # Font: Times New Roman. # Line space: 1.5
• Reference Style: Oxford Referencing Style (OSCOLA), which can be downloaded
• Footnotes, designated numerically, should appear at the bottom of each page.
• Formatting and style: Please prepare the article in a plain word format and avoid any special formatting
style including Heading style or page break.


Deadline for Submission: Submission deadline: April 30, 2023.
All submissions shall be peer-reviewed and accepted for publication subject to compliance with reviewer’s comments and editorial discretion.
