Food security in sustainable food production aims to ensure that all people have access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food and maintain the balance of the ecosystem and the efficiency in agriculture. It can include a series of strategies, including precision agriculture, agroecology to optimize resource use, reduce waste, and maintain biodiversity. At the same time, the disasters and disease may affect the food production and finally influence the food safety and security.

This Collection welcomes original research on food security in sustainable food production, including methods in acquiring sustainability in food production from agricultural strategies to the maintenance of the ecosystem.
