Introduction

​​The Fire Investigations are between the traditional areas for Forensic Engineering Journal. The idea for this special issue to cover wide range of fire-related areas, creating combination of traditional approaches and innovative and modern aspects and techniques for fire investigations.

Papers connected with innovative approaches in fire area, such as applications of satellite imaging, developing of AI modelling in firefighting, fire safety elements for smart buildings and cities and application of innovative fire protection materials will be welcome. The Fire Investigations special issue will contribute to reducing the damages to the environment, improving the safety and preventing significant financial losses. ​

  • Assessment of damages and losses after fires
  • Forensic fire investigations
