Introduction

JERER devotes this Special Issue in memory of Dr Paola Lunghini, past president of ERES, for her contribution to encouraging female participation in the real estate sector.  
This call for papers for this special issue of JERER aims to promote women’s scholarship in real estate studies with research articles led by women researchers. By increasing awareness and support for gender diversity, more women are entering and excelling in both the real estate industry, urban studies and academia. These efforts help nurture young female talent, ensuring a steady pipeline of future leaders in academia and industry.

List of Topic Areas

The articles should be on the following areas:  

• Housing prices, methodologies and index construction
• Housing markets and macroeconomic determinants
• Built environment, urban regeneration and cities
• Real estate valuation  
• Global real estate markets
• Real estate finance, investment and REITs
• Fiscal policy and real estate taxation
• Housing tenure and affordability
• Corporate real estate
• Sustainability

We also invite those researchers and academics who have received personal support and friendship from Dr. Paola Lunghini during their careers to submit a one-page letter detailing his/her personal experience of her mentorship and support.  
The Special Issue comprises two sections: academic papers and letters to pay tribute to Dr. Paola Lunghini. Academic papers will follow the journal double blind review procedure.

Submitted articles must not have been previously published, nor should they be under consideration for publication anywhere else, while under review for this journal.
