Responsibilities
- Drafting of Petitions, Replies, PILs, SLPs, Writs, and other legal filings
- Legal research for ongoing litigation before various Courts
- Preparation of case briefs, note sheets, and legal opinions
- Policy analysis on issues of constitutional importance, civil rights, and social justice
- Developing content for legal awareness, law-and-society initiatives, and rights-based engagement
Eligibility
- Students of a law course
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Interest in constitutional law, public interest litigation, and access to justice
- Self-motivated and reliable.
- One position is reserved for a first-generation lawyer aspirant, as a commitment to inclusion and representation.
- Prior exposure to PILs, human rights, or legal aid work will be preferred
- Should be comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines, even with time zone differences (as the supervising advocate may travel for work)
