“GIFT A LIFE” Bone Marrow Donor Drive 2025
Organized by the School of Nursing in association with the Arjan Vir Foundation
The “GIFT A LIFE” Bone Marrow Donor Drive 2025 is a compassionate and impactful initiative aimed at raising awareness about bone marrow donation and encouraging individuals to register as potential life-saving donors. This noble event is being organized by the School of Nursing, in collaboration with the Arjan Vir Foundation, a respected organization known for its dedication to healthcare and humanitarian causes.
Scheduled to take place in 2025, the donor drive seeks to educate students, staff, and the broader community about the critical role bone marrow transplants play in the treatment of life-threatening conditions such as leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood-related disorders. By becoming a registered donor, individuals can offer hope to patients awaiting a matching donor, many of whom face immense challenges due to the scarcity of compatible matches.
The event will feature informative sessions, personal stories from transplant survivors and donors, and on-site registration opportunities. Medical professionals and volunteers will be available to guide participants through the donor registration process, which includes a simple cheek swab to collect DNA for tissue typing.
The initiative reflects the core values of the School of Nursing—compassion, service, and a commitment to saving lives—and aligns with the Arjan Vir Foundation’s mission to promote health equity and support vulnerable communities. Through this collaboration, the drive aspires not only to register new donors but also to inspire a culture of empathy and social responsibility among young healthcare professionals and the general public.
The “GIFT A LIFE” campaign is more than just a donor registration drive—it is a call to action to make a real difference. One simple act of kindness could mean the gift of life for someone in need.
