Impact of Immersive Learning Technologies: Applications for Achieving SDG4 (Quality Education)

The rapid advancement in Immersive Technologies (e.g., Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Metaverse) has brought about significant transformations, escpecially in field of Education. With AI-driven tools and technologies, these platforms promise to address longstanding didactical challenges by providing personalized learning experiences, optimized instructional methods, engagement, and improved learning outcomes.

The special issue, explores how immersive learning technologies (VR, AR, Metaverse) are reshaping teaching and learning outcomes. The article collected for this issue, will highlight the impact of the innovative learning/AI tools and their application within the educational setting, used for solving key didactical challenges (e.g., personalized learning, learner engagement and learning outcomes, teaching analytics and assessment) while examining the benefits and potential drawbacks of these technologies in achieving quality of education in alignment with SDG4 goals and targets.
