Call for Papers: Middle Grades Research Journal
The journal publishes research articles, review articles, conference proceedings, research studies, and comprehensive literature reviews. The editors invite manuscripts that critically examine methodological approaches that empower middle school students/adolescents’ growth and development or present robust research with educators and administrators in middle schools and communities. We also welcome conceptual pieces that challenge dominant ideologies and pedagogies and critique research paradigms.
TOPICS OF INTEREST:
- Middle Schools and the Challenges and Solutions of Teaching and Learning Post Covid
- The Change in Grade Configurations and the Impact on Teaching and Learning in Middle Level Education
- Restorative Justice in Middle Schools
- Transformative Educational Practices in Middle Level Education and Preservice Teachers
- Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Middle Level Education
- Trauma-Informed Teaching in Middle Schools
- Social Emotional Learning in Middle Schools
TYPES OF SUBMISSION:
Research – Reports of original research that involves middle grade students, teachers, teacher educators or original research (including methodologies).
Literature reviews – Reviews of critically examined middle level literature.
MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION INFORMATION:
- Full manuscripts should be written in Times New Roman 12 point font, approx. 7000 words (excluding references, notes, tables, and figures).
