European Law and Governance School and Charles University in Prague (ranked 401-500 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, 2025 edition) together with the Doctoral School of Law within the Faculty of Law of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies organizes on April 24, 2026 the 1st International Workshop of Doctoral Students in Law “Contemporary Challenges in Comparative Law”
SECTIONS:
I. Comparative Public Law
II. Comparative Private Law
The Workshop opens its doors to doctoral students from different countries, encouraging the presentation of scientific papers on the aspects of tradition and modernity in public and private comparative law, as well as public and private international law, European Union, international trade law and international arbitration. The Workshop also promotes research into issues related to the international legal cooperation, the development of elements of convergence between legal systems and the globalization of law, as well as the legal issues that transcend national borders and combine the theoretical with the empirical in case studies.
IMPORTANT DATES
- Until April 18, 2026
submitting the registration form . The registration form can be completed either with title and abstract of scientific paper which will be submitted at the Workshop. The scientific paper can have a maximum of 3 co-authors. Each co-author will complete a separate Registration form.
