Business transfers in SMEs: Why is this important topic still neglected?
The consequences of failed business transfers are well known. We also know that companies founded via business transfers are more successful than start-ups. Given these facts, it’s quite surprising why business transfers are still a rather quiet topic of conversation, while start-ups are a loud topic – this is evident in many areas of society, such as research, media, education, and politics.
This special issue aims to provide a platform for academics, practitioners, and policymakers to present solutions and approaches for better integration and awareness of the topic of business transfers in various areas of society. The issue focuses particularly on solutions and approaches for training and continuing education, as well as effective marketing in this area.
This special issue invites thoughtful and well-reasoned contributions that advance or challenge our theoretical, empirical, or practical understanding of business transfers especially in smaller organizations. We welcome contributions from academics, practitioners, and policymakers, particularly collaborative contributions that offer interesting and feasible solutions and approaches for better embedding the topic in our societies.
