Call for papers from PhD and early career researchers defending the European Union, 23-24 April 2026
The Edinburgh Europa Institute is inviting papers from PhD and early career researchers to present at the Edinburgh Europa Institute’s PhD/ECR Workshop which will be held between 23-24 April 2026.
Papers should explore different understandings of ‘defending’ the European Union from a conceptual, legal, political or substantive/policy perspective. Submissions are encourage from a range of fields including law, political science, international relations, social policy, sociology, and interdisciplinary studies. Abstracts should be submitted by 30 January 2026.
The Edinburgh Europa Institute is a multi-disciplinary research centre within the University of Edinburgh devoted to the study of the governance, institutions, law and policies of the European Union, and of Europe more broadly.
