Call for Papers: UCL Journal of Law and Jurisprudence, VOLUME 15 (SUMMER 2026), Submission Deadline- February 27th, 2026

The Editorial Board for the UCL Journal of Law and Jurisprudence (the “Journal”) is pleased to announce a call for submission of papers for Volume 15 of the Journal that will be published in Summer 2026. The Journal is a reputable law journal run by graduate law students from the Faculty of Laws at University College London and is available through Open Access.

As with past issues, the Editorial Board welcomes papers covering all areas of law and jurisprudence. Submissions should provide an original contribution and / or insight into a legal field or propose an answer to a complex and / or yet unanswered legal question. At the time of submission, the paper must not have been already published or submitted to any other journals (including blogs) for consideration or publication. All articles will be assessed through double blind peer review. This year, in honour of UCL’s bicentennial anniversary, we have decided to create a thematic issue entitled: “Retrospective: Look Back and Ahead”. We invite submissions which reflect on a specific topic/point of law from both a historical angle (looking back) and/or discuss future developments in the area (looking ahead). Nevertheless, we would still encourage submissions which may not fall within the theme, but showcase excellent analysis and messaging.

The Journal only accepts articles between 8,000 and 12,000 words, and current affairs pieces or case commentaries between 2,000 and 4,000 words. The deadline for submission is February 27th, 2026. Please note that late submissions will not be considered.
