University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
August 3 – August 4, 2026
The 8th Asia Conference on Business and Economic Studies (ACBES 2026) will be organized by the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
ACBES 2026 is organized as part of the 50th anniversary of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), marking five decades of academic excellence and international engagement in economics and business research. Against a backdrop of global polycrisis, rapid AI diffusion, geoeconomic fragmentation, and sustainability transitions, ACBES 2026 aims to move beyond incremental studies toward integrative, theory-driven, and policy-relevant research agendas, particularly from and for Asian contexts. ACBES is held annually, serving as a high-level academic forum for economics and business research.
ACBES 2026 will feature the participation of a Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences (2019), alongside internationally renowned scholars from leading universities worldwide, including Editors-in-Chief and senior editors of prestigious international journals, thereby providing a high-level forum for rigorous academic exchange and publication-oriented discussions.

Submission Path
- ACBES Lecture for PhD (August 3): PhD students present research proposals or work-in-progress papers and receive structured feedback from senior scholars and JABES editors on theoretical framing, research design, and publication readiness, alongside a JABES Editorial Workshop on international publishing and the peer-review process.
- Main Conference (August 4): Established scholars present mature, high-quality studies, with opportunities for direct engagement with journal editors to gain insights into the publication values, editorial standards, and journal scope of JABES and other indexed journals associated with ACBES.
ACBES 2026 is designed not only as a presentation venue, but also as a developmental platform for high-quality journal publications. Selected papers demonstrating strong theoretical grounding, rigorous methodology, and clear contribution potential will be encouraged to further develop into full manuscript submissions, particularly to the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES) and other partner journals.
