Call for Papers: 2nd Annual Research Workshop on Women Peace and Security Agenda: Building Peace through Women’s Participation and Leadership, Abstract submission deadline- June 30, 2026
Organized by: The African Women Peace and Security Institute (AWPSI) Institute of Ethiopian Studies (IES), Addis Ababa University (AAU)
Venue: TBA, Addis Ababa
Background
Despite the increased attention to Women Peace and Security Agenda (WPS), research on this topic in Ethiopia remains fragmented. There is a need for a consistent platform where researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and women peacebuilders can identify research gaps, generate knowledge, share findings, and develop actionable policy recommendations. With this rationale, AWPSI organizes a series of annual WPS-focused research workshops. This call is made to solicit papers for the 2nd annual workshop.
