Call for Papers: International Conference on International Humanitarian Law and Artificial Intelligence, 7-8 August 2026

To mark the 77th anniversary of the Geneva Conventions of 1949, the Centre for Advanced Studies in International Humanitarian Law (CASH) at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, is organizing the International Conference on “International Humanitarian Law and Artificial Intelligence.”

The conference seeks to provide a multidisciplinary platform for scholars, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, students, media houses, and institutions to engage with the complex challenges posed by emerging technologies in armed conflict. The conference aims to foster meaningful discussions on the application of IHL principles to AI technologies, the regulation of autonomous weapon systems, accountability and liability concerns, AI-enabled cyber operations, and the evolving nature of modern warfare.

Academicians, students, media houses, and institutions with relevant expertise are invited to contribute to the conference through research papers, case studies, or position papers.

Publication Opportunity:

Selected papers, subject to peer review and editorial review, will be published as chapters in an edited book bearing an ISBN. Authors of selected manuscripts will be informed separately regarding publication requirements and timelines.
