Call for Papers: International Sports Law Journal (ISLJ) Conference on International Sports Law, 5 and 6 November 2026 at the Asser Institute in The Hague
The theme this year is the intellectual property (IP) law of international sport. This field touches everything from illegal streaming and counterfeit replica shirts to the question of the extent to which athletes own their own image and data. As billions of euros change hands each year through broadcasting deals, sponsorships, and merchandise, the legal rules governing who owns that value, and who profits from it, have greater importance than ever before.
Abstracts of up to 300 words, along with a CV, must be sent to a.duval@asser.nl by 10 September 2026. Selected speakers will be informed by 20 September at the latest and are expected to submit a short draft (5000 words) of their paper by 20 October 2026.
The Asser Institute will provide a limited number of travel and accommodation grants (max. 350€). If you wish to be considered for a grant, please indicate this in your submission.
