The German Research Foundation (DFG)-funded Research Unit on Artificial Decision Making invites PhD candidates, post-docs and assistant professors from all disciplines to submit proposals on the transformation and normative shifts caused by AI.
The conference will cover the overarching themes of autonomy, control and responsibility. Topics may include:
• AI and Legal Anthropocentrism
• Anti-discrimination law and algorithmic fairness
• Legal design and ex-ante prevention of algorithmic bias
• AI in judicial decision-making
• Corporate Digital Responsibility
• AI-driven prognosis or evidence evaluation
• AI and the psychological acceptance and perceived legitimacy of criminal verdicts
• AI, data science and total social control
• Rethinking legal scholarship to address the challenges for law posed by AI
