About the Event

The proposed 3-Day In-Person Certificate
Course on Gender, Law, and Practice is
envisioned as an intensive academic and
practice-oriented programme for law and liberal
arts students. The course is premised on the
recognition that questions of gender justice
occupy an increasingly central position within
constitutional interpretation, criminal law, social welfare legislation, and judicial decision-
making in India.

The in-person format is intended to
facilitate sustained dialogue, close interaction
with resource persons and collaborative
learning, thereby enhancing the pedagogical
value of the course.

Course Structure

The course is structured to progress from conceptual and theoretical
engagement to doctrinal analysis and, finally, to practice-oriented learning.
The three-day structure of the course is designed to ensure that the
participants develop a strong foundational understanding of
intersectionality of gender with law and various other disciplines before
engaging with contemporary legal scenarios and professional practices
relating to gender justice.

Elgibility:

The competition is open to undergraduate,
postgraduate, and doctoral students, as well as
academicians, scholars, practitioners, consultants,
