The National Law University Delhi (‘University’) is seeking to engage two Assistant Professors on a contractual basis for teaching U.G. and P.G. courses. This programme is designed to merge the expertise of law and technology with the strategic understanding of governance.

The University seeks to engage two (02) Assistant Professors on contractual positions at its campus in Dwarka, New Delhi. NLU Delhi encourages qualified candidates with exceptional educational qualifications from top-ranked law schools in India and abroad, along with a proven track record of publishing quality research papers in international journals, to apply. The details of eligibility criteria, emoluments, and other terms & conditions are given below:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. Remuneration & Period of Appointment on Contract

• The selected candidates will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs. 90,000 per month (TDS @10% under Section 194J of the Income Tax Act, 1961 will be deducted on monthly remuneration as per NLU Delhi Regulations), funded by the respective Programme.
• The appointment will be for an initial period of six months, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance and the availability of funds under the respective Programme.
• No additional benefits/perks will be provided.

2. Selection Process

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on an evaluation of their application contents.
• Shortlisting does not guarantee an interview or final selection.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview, the details of which will be communicated separately.

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES

1. Candidates applying for a post must ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions on the last date fixed for receipt of applications. If at any stage it is found that the candidate did not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions or furnished false information, their candidature will be cancelled.
2. Possession of a prescribed essential qualification does not entitle a candidate to be called for an interview. The decision of the University in all matters related to application, eligibility/suitability of the candidates, or the criteria for selection, etc. will be final and binding. No inquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
3. The University reserves the right to withdraw this advertisement or increase/decrease the number of posts at any time without assigning any reason.
4. The positions advertised are not part of the regular sanctioned posts in the University and are envisaged to be in the self-financing mode.
5. The rules and regulations of National Law University Delhi will be applicable to the selected candidates.
6. This position is limited and shall have no claim whatsoever for regularization in the University. It shall also not carry the service benefits generally admissible to regular faculty members of the University.
7. The eligibility of every candidate will be determined on the basis of qualifications acquired and communicated to the office by him/her up to the last date fixed for receipt of applications. No certificate/document will be considered after the last date.
8. Applications not supported with the required application fee and self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials will be rejected.
9. Incomplete applications, applications received without the prescribed fee, or applications received after the last date of receipt of applications will be rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
10. Those who are already in employment should submit their Application Form through the proper channel.
11. Concealment of facts or submission of false information will result in cancellation of candidature in addition to legal action.
12. The incumbent shall possess advanced skills, experience, and abilities demonstrated by the type of institutions served, goals achieved, research carried out, and impact made. These will be deciding factors in maintaining the higher standards of a national-level higher education institution conducting professional courses in a competitive ecosystem.
13. Candidates shall be called for interview after due scrutiny and shortlisting of applications. Mere eligibility shall not confer any right to be called for interview.
14. The University reserves the right to withhold the post at any stage before appointment.
15. Canvassing in any form may lead to cancellation of candidature. Appointment may be cancelled at any time in case of misconduct, unsatisfactory work, or if the candidate is found ineligible later.
16. The appointment shall be subject to verification of antecedents.
17. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interaction/interview for the post.
18. Suppression of factual information, submission of fake documents, providing false or misleading information, or any other undesirable action by the candidate shall lead to cancellation of candidature. If detected at any point in future, even after appointment, that the candidate was not eligible as per the prescribed qualifications/experience, the appointment shall be liable to immediate termination.
