The Centre for Intellectual Property & Innovation, School of Law, Galgotias University, is pleased to invite applications for the National Research Colloquium on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) – 2026, scheduled to be held on 18th–19th December 2026 in Online Mode (Zoom).
The Colloquium is designed as a discussion-driven academic forum for doctoral scholars, early-career academics and legal researchers to present their ongoing research, receive constructive feedback from distinguished experts, and engage in meaningful scholarly discussions.
Unlike conventional paper-presentation conferences, the Colloquium emphasises research development, critical engagement, expert feedback and academic collaboration.
🔹 THEMATIC AREAS
Research proposals are invited on the following themes, including but not limited to:
- Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights and Designs
- Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property
- IP in the Digital and Platform Economy
- Data and Intellectual Property
- Traditional Knowledge, Geographical Indications and Indigenous Rights
- IP and Public Health
- IP, Trade and International Law
- IP in Emerging Technologies
- Enforcement, Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution in IP
- IP Rights and Competition Law
🔹 WHO CAN APPLY?
The Colloquium particularly encourages applications from doctoral researchers, early-career academics and legal researchers working in Intellectual Property Rights and allied interdisciplinary fields.
🔹 FORMAT OF THE COLLOQUIUM
Research Presentation: 12–15 minutes per selected participant.
Expert Feedback: Structured feedback from distinguished discussants and senior academics.
Interactive Discussion: Scholarly engagement and constructive deliberations following presentations.
Selection: Limited participants will be selected based on the relevance, originality and scholarly merit of their research proposals.

Colloquium Dates: 18th–19th December 2026

Registration Fee: ₹600 per participant (payable only upon selection).

🔹 SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Interested applicants are required to submit the following documents, consolidated into a single PDF file:
Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) – Including details of publications, teaching experience and prior speaking engagements, wherever applicable.
Research Overview (One Page) – Containing an abstract of up to 500 words and a clearly formulated research question proposed for discussion during the Colloquium.
