Systems Integration and Public Health: Global Perspectives on Policy, Practice, and Service Innovation
The Journal of Integrated Care invites submissions for a Special Issue exploring the challenges and innovations in integrating health, social care, and community services within public health systems globally. This issue seeks to highlight empirical research, evaluation studies, case studies, and policy analyses that investigate how integration efforts are improving outcomes, enhancing workforce capabilities, and aligning with WHO health priorities.
We welcome papers that examine:
- Integrated models for managing non-communicable diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, COPD)
- Innovations in service delivery and primary/community care alignment
- The role of workforce development and multidisciplinary teams
- Youth mental health and student wellbeing through integrated approaches
- Relationships between health policy, funding models, and service implementation
This Special Issue aims to present international perspectives that offer critical insights into the enablers and barriers of integrated care, particularly in low-resource or rapidly reforming health systems.
