CALL FOR PAPERS – 5th INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FORUM (IYF 5.0), 21st to 22nd August 2025
The 5th International Youth Forum (IYF 5.0) will be held from 21st to 22nd August 2025 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Bangkok, Thailand. This prestigious forum brings together young leaders aged 18–35 from over 90 countries, along with representatives from UN bodies, governments, NGOs, academia, and social innovators, under the theme “Empowering Youth for a Just, Inclusive, and Sustainable Future”.
About the Forum: Since its inception in 2017, IYF has evolved into a powerful platform for youth-led dialogue and action, aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. IYF 5.0 will assess youth-led solutions toward achieving SDG2030.
Call for Research Papers
Academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers are invited to submit original research papers or case studies focused on innovative, rights-based, and sustainable solutions.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Smart cities for sustainable living
- Clean energy is a human right
- Waste management innovations for sustainable development
- Leveraging AI and IoT to monitor human rights violations
- Designing accessible infrastructure for persons with disabilities
- Achieving universal health coverage through policy and innovation
- Mental health as a fundamental human right
- Vaccine equity and global health justice
- Climate change and its impact on public health
- Telemedicine as a tool for healthcare access in rural areas
- The role of youth in human rights education
- Art and creativity as tools for activism and awareness
- Combating misinformation and protecting the right to accurate information
- Promoting the SDGs through local languages and indigenous knowledge
- Climate justice and the voices of vulnerable communities
- The influence of pop culture on sustainable development goals
- Legal frameworks for implementing the SDGs
- Recognising the right to a clean and healthy environment
- Digital privacy, cybersecurity, and human rights in the tech age
- Gender equality through legal and institutional reform
Benefits to Selected Speakers:
- Selected speakers will present their papers at UNCC, Bangkok, and receive a delegate
- scholarship worth USD 500, which covers shared accommodation, conference meals and shuttle, a delegate kit, and
- official certification.
- All accepted papers will be published in the IYF Book of Proceedings, shared with international partners and UN stakeholders.
