Call for Papers: for the South China Sea Studies Symposium, 22 July 2026 – Abstract submission deadline
The call for papers is now open for the South China Sea Studies Symposium, the academic component of The Manila Dialogue on the South China Sea 2026.
The symposium invites paper submissions on key issues shaping the South China Sea, including law of the sea and dispute settlement, security and geopolitics, lawfare, disinformation and cognitive warfare, economic security, environmental and human security, the history of the South China Sea, ASEAN, regionalism, and regional security.
Selected paper presenters will receive full funding, covering economy-class roundtrip airfare to Manila, hotel accommodation, per diem, and registration for The Manila Dialogue on the South China Sea.

18 August 2026 – Acceptance notification
20 October 2026 – Full paper drafts due
10–11 November 2026 – SCS Studies Symposium
11–13 November 2026 – The Manila Dialogue on the South China Sea, Grand Hyatt Manila
