Call for Papers: JIEL Junior Faculty Forum for International Economic Law (JIEL JFF) 2026, Submission Deadline- 30 June 2026

The Journal of International Economic Law is delighted to announce the sixth annual JIEL Junior Faculty Forum. The JIEL JFF brings together early career scholars (including junior faculty, visiting assistant professors, PhD candidates, post-doctoral fellows, etc.) working in the field of international economic law. The purpose is to allow scholars to present their work before an audience of peers and experts and receive feedback from senior scholars. In addition, pieces may be considered for publication in the Journal of International Economic Law—the leading publication in the field.

We welcome applications from early-career scholars teaching in law faculties or in related disciplines such as economics, political science, history, and international relations. Proposals may be submitted by individual scholars or by teams of co-authors. The Forum invites submissions covering a wide range of international economic law topics – trade, investment, finance, tax, labor, intellectual property, data, and other topics reflective of the broad nature of the field. Scholars who have previously presented at the JIEL JFF and scholars who have previously published an article in JIEL (not including book reviews) are not eligible to apply.

Interested applicants should submit a brief description of the unpublished/unsubmitted project (up to 800 words) in a Microsoft Word document as well as a CV in PDF by 11:59pm EDT, Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The Word document description should be single spaced and should not include any identifying information as each submission will be reviewed without attribution. The file name of the Word document should be the first 4-5 words of the title of your abstract. The application form and upload links are available here
