Call for Papers: Law Beyond Borders — 18th Cornell Law School Inter-University Graduate Conference, Submission Deadline: 16 October 2026
The Maastricht Centre for Law & Jurisprudence (MCLJ) is delighted to invite submissions for its 2nd annual conference, taking place on Friday, 29 January 2027, at the Maastricht University Faculty of Law. The topic of the Conference is ‘Future Normativities: The Foundations of Law and Political Community’.
The MCLJ welcomes jurisprudential, philosophical, historical, and interdisciplinary contributions reflecting on the normative foundations of collective life, such as what sustains legal authority, political membership, solidarity, and legitimacy, and how future legal and political communities should be imagined, constituted, and governed.
Both established scholars and early-career researchers are warmly encouraged to submit.
