The Australian Journal of Human Rights is inviting submissions for its forthcoming special issue
on- ‘The Right to Food and Food Security in Turbulent Times: Critical Perspectives from the Asia-Pacific Region’.

The types of articles accepted by the Australian Journal of Human Rights, their requirements and review process are as follows:
It welcomes high-quality, original manuscripts that engage critically with the right to food, food security, food sovereignty, and related human rights challenges, particularly from interdisciplinary and critical perspectives.
Articles
Works of original research, 7,000–10,000 words*, Double-blind (at least two reviewers)
Commentaries
Less traditional forms of scholarship, such as articles based on the Australian Human Rights Institute’s Annual Lecture, and interviews or conversation pieces with prominent human rights actors, 6,000–8,000 words*, Single-blind peer review (two individuals) to contextualise contribution for AJHR
Current Perspectives
Pieces that explore various aspects of human rights scholarship and practice in a shorter and less formal format, for example: field notes, discussions of recent developments in policy, practice and case law, creative interventions in human rights, interviews, and reflective pieces on working in or researching human rights related issues, 1,500–3,000 words*, Open peer review by Section Editor and, if required by the Section Editor, single-blind peer review by one other academic from the Journal Board or Institute
Reviews
Shorter pieces of scholarship, engaging with published books, films, or other output of artistic and / or academic significance relating to the field of human rights, 1,000–2,000 words*, Open peer review by Section Editor and Single-blind peer review by one other academic from the Board or Institute.
Review Essays
Reviews can include Review Essays, in which several items that would normally be considered for reviews are assembled thematically, 4,000–6,000 words*, Double-blind (at least two reviewers).
*Length for all article types: inclusive of tables, references, figure captions, footnotes, endnotes.
