The Competition simulates the complexities of commercial construction arbitration, requiring participants to conduct intensive legal research, analyse intricate contractual and factual matrices, formulate cogent legal propositions, and present persuasive submissions before experienced adjudicators. The Proposition addresses issues including additional works without a formal Variation Order, No Dues Certificates and final settlement, accord and satisfaction, economic duress, contractual authority, governmental procurement frameworks, internal financial regulations, quasi-contractual claims, and the constitution and jurisdiction of the Arbitral Tribunal under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. What sets the Vidhi Vaarta Construction Arbitration Law Moot apart is its focus on the practical interplay between construction contracts, commercial realities, and arbitral adjudication.
