THEME
“Assured Price Mechanism in the Agricultural Sector”
This legislative drafting competition focuses on creating
robust statutory frameworks for an assured price mechanism
in the agriculture sector. Currently, guaranteed pricing
through the Minimum Support Price (MSP) system is largely
confined to paddy and wheat. This heavy concentration on
just two major crops has triggered serious environmental and
economic problems, including severe groundwater depletion,
ecological degradation, and a steep drop in crop
diversification.
Eligibility & Team Structure
Eligibility: Open to undergraduate (3-year or 5-year B.A. LL.B.) and
postgraduate (LL.M.) law students enrolled in any recognised law
college.
Composition: Individual participation or teams of two authors
(Maximum). Cross-institutional teams are allowed.
