About NIDM
The National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) was constituted under an Act of Parliament with a vision to play the role of a premier institute for capacity development in India and the region. The efforts in this direction that began with the formation of the National Centre for Disaster Management (NCDM) in 1995. NIDM has been assigned nodal responsibilities for human resource development, capacity building, training, research, documentation & policy advocacy in field of disaster management.

Eligibility
- Final-year undergraduate student, postgraduate student (any semester), M.Phil./Ph.D. scholars
- Recent graduate from Disaster Management (preferable) and allied discipline including Development Studies, Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Engineering, Health Studies, Architecture, Media, Policy, and related fields.
- Applicant must have secured a minimum of 65% marks (or equivalent grade) in their last qualifying examination.
