About our LL.M. Programme
The One-Year Regular LL.M. programme at Dhirubhai Ambani University – School of Law is carefully designed
to meet the evolving needs of legal professionals in India and beyond. This rigorous, research-based degree
combines in-person dasses, structured research assignments, and an international research tour to offer a
well-rounded learning experience. By addressing emerging market demands, the programme bridges
important gaps in India’s LL.M. offerings and prepares graduates to navigate complex legal challenges at both
national and global levels.
Spread over three trimesters within one year, the programme is tailored for working legal professionals
including advocates, in-house counsel, judicial aspirants, and recent law graduates. The curriculum balances
core courses, specialised electives, and a dissertation, all supplemented by substantial research components
that enhance critical thinking and analytical abilities. A key feature is the international research tour, which
expands students’ perspectives through exposure to comparative legal systems and global best practices.
The programme offers five focused streams that align with India’s development priorities and global trends:
ESG, Carbon Markets and Sustainability; Aviation Law; Al, Data Protection and Technology Law; Construction
Law, Contracts and Arbitration; and Judicial Administration and Justice. It would equip our students with both a
strong legal foundation and practical expertise in areas where demand for skilled professionals is rapidly
increasing, enabling them to serve diverse sectors and cross-border legal issues.

Teaching Methodologies
The programme employs a range of engaging teaching methods to ensure a balance between practical
learning and academic knowledge. It employs diverse teaching learning methods such as Lectures, Case
Studies, Simulations, and Experiential Learning. Approaches like the Flipped Classroom, Socratic Method,
Workshop Method, Jigsaw Group Method, and Sand and Pit Method foster critical thinking and collaboration.
The Tabula Rasa Approach builds strong conceptual foundations, while Research and Reflection enhance
analytical and professional skills.
International Research Tour
As part of Trimester II, the programme features an International Research Tour that offers students a week of
immersive global exposure. which includes a study visit to Europe, providing participants with valuable
insights into judicial institutions and practices across diverse legal systems, a truly transformative academic
experience. Students who are unable to join the international tour will instead pursue a two-credit course in
Mindfulness, aimed at enhancing focus, well-being, and reflective learning.
Eligibility
The programme is open to law graduates (LL.B. 3 or 5 years) with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
Preference will be given to serving or retired judges, judicial officers, experienced lawyers, public prosecutors, and policymakers.
Important Note:
The course will be offered only if a minimum of five candidates are admitted to the LL.M. programme.
