We seek perspectives that recognise women entrepreneurs/ship as active agents of change (rather than passive participants), who affect changes at multiple levels across different crisis timeframes, including before, during, and after crises, and along the continuum. We are interested in investigating women entrepreneurs’ strengths, contributions, and other positive perspectives related to crisis. We also encourage bringing to light the lesser-discussed dark sides of women’s entrepreneurship. Our objective is to advance theory, practice and policy in women’s entrepreneurship by soliciting accounts that address underexplored intersections of entrepreneurship, gender, and crisis.
Articles might consider, but are not limited to, the following topics:
- Crisis and entrepreneurial or societal opportunities
- Crisis and women entrepreneurs’ identities, strengths and strategies
- Crisis and women entrepreneurs’ contributions to society
- Crisis and a more gender equitable society through women’s entrepreneurship
- Post-Crisis and women entrepreneurs in peacebuilding and regeneration
- Post-Crisis and impact of resilience
- Post-Crisis and women entrepreneurs’ better work-life balance, improved wellbeing concern and healthier relationships with employees
- Crises, women’s entrepreneurship and power relations
- Crisis and dark sides of women’s entrepreneurship
- Women’s entrepreneurship, crises, and entrepreneurial eco-systems
- Women’s entrepreneurship, crises, and other-than-humans
