School of Law, Graphic Era Hill University is back with a bang with its first Expert Talk for the Even semester on the occasion of Indian Army Day on 15th January 2021.
Our Esteemed Resource Person Lt. Gen. D S Hooda, PVSM, UYSM,AVSM,VSM** (Retd.) will be speaking to us all on “The Role of Indian Army in Maintaining the National Integrity of the Nation with special reference to the AFSPA”.
With a career spanning over 40 years, Sir will be sharing his experiences and insights with all of us on role of the Army and implementation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act, 1958 with a special focus on protecting human rights and national integrity.
Lt. Gen. Hooda has served the terrorism infested Northern and Eastern borders of the Country. In order to curb that, AFSPA was enacted and we are sure that his insights on practical implementation of the act will be a knowledgeable session for one and all and especially for people interested in promoting and protecting human rights.
