IIM Ranchi announces Winter School on Leadership, Policy and Governance from19th January to 23rd January 2021
IIM Ranchi’s Centre of Excellence, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centre of Leadership, Policy and Governance (ABVCLPG) announces Winter School on Leadership, Policy and Governance. It will be held from 19th January to 23rd January 2021. The event will be conducted online.
The winter school is an intensive full-time programme and consists of at least 30 contact hours. There will be lectures, presentations and discourses on all 3 themes during the programme. Extensive Study Material will be provided to all the participants on all 3 themes at the commencement of the programme.
The winter school will be conducted online due to pandemic outbreak in the country. The classes will be conducted online through Cisco WebEx.
To name a few: the topics of the session will be team-building during early stage of entrepreneurship, decision making in governance: from policy to execution, the use of big data and artificial intelligence in public policy and ten tools for design thinking and many more. There will be lectures, presentations and discourses on all 3 themes (Leadership, Policy and Governance) during the programme.
The faculty of the course will include the Director and faculty members of IIM Ranchi, senior bureaucrats, senior government officials, experts and specialists in the domain of leadership, policy and governance.
To name a few, the prominent speakers for the winter school is Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni IAS, PrincipalSecretary (Health and Family Welfare), Govt. of Jharkhand, Dr. Heera Lal IAS, Additional Mission Director at National Health Mission, Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Shekhar Saran CMD, CMPDI, Ranchi along with senior IIM’s Ranchi faculty.
The programme is designed for researchers and policymakers, students (undergraduate, postgraduate), bureaucrats, public servant’s development professionals, journalists and working professionals.
Candidates will be benefited by interactive lectures, engaging group discussions, leadership training, and personality development and networking opportunities. Students who want to present innovative projects may be provided an opportunity by the Centre.
Admission process for the winter workshop will be on first cum first serve basis subject to fulfilment of criteria. If any discrepancy is detected in documents/information submitted by the student, at any point of time, the admission of the said candidate will be liable to cancellation, as per rule. Students are not permitted on campus due to the pandemic.
The payment for the winter school will be accepted online on the payment gateway of IIM Ranchi. To attend the winter school the candidates are requested to fill the google form. Once the google form is filled and payment is done, all the candidates have to send their confirmation by sending an email to [email protected] with payment receipt and name and email id. The payment receipt has to be saved and also uploaded at the time of submitting the google form.
E- Certificate will be provided to each participant upon completion of the course.
The previous summer school on Leadership, Policy and Governance was conducted from 25th May to 29th May 2019, and was a huge success!
