Competition Brief:
ILS Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (ILSCA) in association with ADR ODR International and KED Lex Chambers is organizing a three-day Inter-College Mediation Competition, INTERCESSIONIS, 2021. This competition will provide the participants with an opportunity to test their core mediation skills and experience mediation sessions through rounds of competitive simulations.
This competition will witness 16 teams, from all over India; pitch their skills to tackle tactfully-drafted mediation problems. The tournament aims to highlight the role of the mediator, the client and the attorney in a mediation session. With a view to promote Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) as the new normal, the competition will be conducted virtually this year.
Dates:
INTERCESSIONIS, 2021 will be held from 5-7th March 2021.
Venue:
The 4th edition of the competition will be held virtually. The Virtual Platform to be used for the competition will be informed to the participants beforehand.

Registration:
The teams can register by accessing this Google form.
The link shall be active from 12pm on 20th January 2021 to 11:59 pm on 5th February 2021.
Selection Criteria:
· It is the sole discretion of the Indian Law Society’s Management and organizing committee to decide which teams are eligible to participate in the competition upon reviewing the skills of the entire team in the field of ADR. Hence, it is advised that the teams make sure that they state their ADR experience carefully while registering for the competition.
· The Final list of participating teams will be announced on our Facebook page and the selected teams shall also be mailed accordingly.
Registration fees:
Upon acceptance of the team’s application by the Organizing Committee, the selected team must pay the full registration fee which is Rs. 6000 plus GST (18%) per team within the deadline as provided for in the confirmation mail sent to the team. There will be no refund of the registration fee under any circumstances, except unless the competition is called off due to unforeseen events and the reason for the same will be provided by the Organizing Committee.
Important Dates:
Activation of the Link of the Google Form for Registration: January 20, 2021.
Last Date for Registrations: February 5, 2021.
Release of the Final List of Participating Teams in the Competition: February 8, 2021.
Last Day for seeking Clarifications: February 20, 2021.
Release of Clarifications: February 25, 2021.
Awards and Prizes:
The Organizers shall acknowledge the participation of all the teams, team members, coaches and assessors at the competition with appropriate tokens of appreciation. Certificates shall be provided to all those who have registered with the Competition. Teams who qualify as winners and runners-up would be felicitated with cash prizes and other resources as well.
