The proposed course is intended to help in capacity building of the legal and business communities engaged in commercial litigation and would be instrumental in improving India’s ease of doing business ranking in the future. The course content, prepared and delivered by expert academicians, practitioners and relevant professionals having sufficient experience, would focus on the fundamental of substantive business and commercial laws, procedural issues, and litigation practices in commercial courts including practical inputs.
The course would include live online classes delivered by experts from the industry and academia, as well as supplementary reading material. The course will be evaluation-based and every candidate will be provided a certificate on successful completion of the course. The course will provide an opportunity of continuing education for lawyers.
IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR DELIVERY OF THE COURSE:
- Duration of the course: 3 months
- The course has 6 parts which includes 19 Modules. The entire course includes 110 hours of
classroom teaching, 10 hours of assignments and 3 hours of examination. - Online contact classes for all modules will be conducted preferably on weekends.
- Admissions: Will be on a rolling basis with a minimum of two batches in an academic year. Applications received after the cut off dates will be considered for the consequent batch.
- Date of Commencement: The first session of the course would commence from May 1, 2021.
- Fees: INR 10,000/- (Ten Thousand Only) (Students from underprivileged background requiring financial assistance may apply for reduction in fees payable and the applications would be scrutinized and may be entertained on a case-to-case basis).
