The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) provides free and competent legal advice and services by categorising lawyers and allocating them to specific categories. It also provides helpline services to ensure that legal advice and services are available quickly and easily.
The DSLSA also offers Legal Service Clinics, Lok Adalats, Special Lok Adalats, and Permanent Lok Adalats, Legal Awareness Programs for the General Public, Pre-Institution Mediation in Commercial Matters, and Compensation to Victims under the Delhi Victims Compensation Scheme 2018.
Concerning the Program
The Delhi State Legal Services Authority is accepting online applications for the Winter Internship Program 2021-22, which will be open to law students from India’s law universities and colleges.
There are 110 seats available.
3rd and 4th year law students (in the case of a 5-year LLB)
AND 1st and 2nd year law students are eligible (in case of 3-year LLB)
Internship Duration
The internship will last for 21 days.

Responsibilities & Primary Responsibilities
- To create public awareness materials on legal services and legal rights under various social welfare laws.
- To increase legal knowledge and awareness among society’s underprivileged groups.
- To establish an environment that encourages poor, weak, and vulnerable people to seek justice and equality.
- To establish a link between people from the periphery and legal assistance.
- To comprehend the issues and challenges that some groups confront as a result of social and economic constraints.
- To assist those who are in need with the preparation of an application for legal services.
- To encourage the use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as pre-litigation conciliation and counselling, Lok Adalats, and mediation, with a focus on family and marriage issues.
What is the procedure for applying?
Students can apply online through the online application link from December 1 to December 15, 2021. It is mandatory to submit a reference letter on the DSLSA-required proforma, signed by the Dean/Principal/Faculty.
