WORKSHOP- HOW TO WRITE AND TO GET YOUR PAPER PUBLISHED (PROJECT – BASED COURSE) 

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
The necessity to have academic writing skills important both for students starting their research
and for professionals. Writing helps students think critically and express their thoughts logically.
Professionals need to have good academic writing skills to prove to audience, clients and employer that they have experience and knowledge about product and services offered. This course is designed both for students and professionals who wants to improve their academic
writing skills. In this project-based course, you will outline a complete scientific paper, choose an appropriate journal to which you’ll submit the finished paper for publication, and prepare a checklist that will allow you to independently judge whether your paper is ready to submit.

LECTURERS:
1. Daniel Brantes Ferreira is Associate Professor at Universidade Candido Mendes. He is also a professor of the Master’s in Law at AMBRA University (USA). Co-leader of Research Project “Law, Digital Technologies and ADR: international and comparative perspective” (registered in CNPQ Brazil). He lectures across the world in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Author and co-author of several papers, published in high-ranked journals, including Scopus and Web of Science, monographs, and textbooks.
The Editor-In-Chief of the Brazilian Journal for Alternative Dispute Resolution
(RBADR) and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Law in Changing World. Member of the editorial board and reviewer at several Brazilian and international iournals. Daniel is also the CEO of the Brazilian Center for Arbitration and Mediation (CBMA) a leading ADR service provider in Brazil, a Fellow at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CArb), and a qualified mediator at the International Mediation Institute (IMI).

Deputy Director for the International Cooperation at National Research South Ural State University (Russia). Professor at AMBRA University (USA). Director for acade. mic affairs for the BRICS at CBMA (Brazil).
Co-leader of Research Project “Law, Digital Technologies and ADR: international and comparative perspective” (registered in CNPQ Brazil). Guest lecturer at University of Maribor (Slovenia), University of Bologna (Italy) and AMBRA University (USA).
The Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Law in Changing World. The member of the editorial board and reviewer at Law. Medicine. Society (Slovenia), Brazilian Journal of International Law (Brazil), International Journal of Legal and Social Studies (India), Revista Brasileira de Alternative Dispute Resolution (RBADR), University of Bologna Law Review (Italy).

Module 1. Steps to organize your research efficiently

This part will be about starting the research. We will tell you what to start with. You will understand how to choose research direction, will learn how to do efficient search for necessary literature and other sources. We will help you to defining the topic and the aim of the paper. And share research methods and techniques we use.

Module 2. Things you need to know to write good paper
June 3rd

In the first part we will focus on how to structure of the paper, what is the difference between parts of the paper, and how to write each part of the paper. In second part we will tell you about referencing styles and quotations and plagiarism as well

Module 4. Life-hacks to make your paper known and citable

In this Module you will know how to increase the visibility of your paper and get more citations. We will discuss the most popular free libraries and researchers’ portals.

Within this Module we will work with the papers prepared by course participants, evaluate and give the comments
