About Dr Amar Patnaik
Dr Amar Patnaik is Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha from Odisha representing the Biju Janata Dal. He is also the party’s national spokesperson and head of the party’s IT wing.
Before becoming an MP, Dr Patnaik had long career in Civil Services and is a former CAG official. He was instrumental in detecting frauds in Bihar (the Fodder scam) and Assam (the Letter of Credit scam) in the 1990’s. He was also associated with the United Nations and the World Bank for global external audit assignments. He was also Team Leader of India’s External Audit Mission to many countries.
About Internship Opportunity
The Office of Dr Amar Patnaik is seeking to engage 10 interns for the upcoming winter session of the Parliament.
Work Profile
Legislative research entails drafting parliamentary interventions such as questions, special mentions, zero hours, speeches, research and legal briefs etc. for Members of Parliament. The team believe in good mentorship therefore, they’ll hold orientation sessions to brief interns about the processes of Parliament. However, decent writing and research skills are pre-requisite.
Eligibility
Preference will be given to students in their final years in law, economics and related fields.
